Commercial Attorney
LCA China commercial team has an immediate opening for an experienced transactional lawyer with a strong desire to apply his/her skills to the fast growing and challenging Microsoft China sales & marketing business in China.
Microsoft China is Microsoft Corporation wholly owned subsidiary in China. It has been 18 years since Microsoft had its presence in China in 1992. And now there are more than 3000 regular employees working in 21 offices in China.
This position will be based in Beijing, China.
Primary Responsibilities:
1. Support entertainment and hardware organization business in China, including sales& marketing and product development activities on the matters including HR, product development, transactions, distribution, compliance and anti-trust.
2. Support regional offices in China on their business, marketing activities, commercial transactions, operations, HRs and compliance.
3. Support HR issues arouse from the sales & marketing groups of Microsoft China.
4. Structure, draft, and negotiate a variety of legal document, including contracts, Memorandum of Understandings, licensing agreements.
5. Negotiate and close transactions by working together with the attorneys who are supporting the business groups based in Beijing head office.
6. Provide local law advice to Redmond BG attorneys and global WSG Redmond attorneys.
7. Drive greater internal efficiencies for both legal and business groups through the development or redesign of legal support processes, licensing programs, template licensing documents, and Microsoft technologies.

8. Plan, design, create and deliver legal training to clients and colleagues.

9. Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic thought leader across S&M and LCA.
Candidates should have the following qualifications:
J.D. or equivalent degree and excellent academic credentials
Minimum of 10 years of experience supporting complex commercial legal issues and transaction attorney, with top law firm and/or relevant in-house experience in multinational companies.
Desire to work as part of a team, and with the ability to lead and motivate others and to facilitate problem solving.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across a large number of diverse internal groups, teams and divisions.
Demonstrated business savvy with the ability to work successfully with high level business clients and to evaluate and accept appropriate risk-taking to protect shareholder value. Executive level briefing and training experience, and the ability to focus on customers and business simplicity, is necessary.
Detail- and results-oriented, with outstanding organizational and analytical skills.
Experience with intellectual property, competition, HR and internet law issues.
Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
