Job Title: Senior Account Receivable Analyst – West & Central Africa
Department: Finance
Reporting to: Credit Officer – Cameroon Hub
Category: 10 (Diageo Level 5)
No of positions: 01Contract: permanent
PURPOSE
To provide an efficient and effective Credit Control to 3rdparty customers located within all of West and Central Africa, including credit control for Diageo spirits sales to theGhana, NigeriaandCameroonIMCs in the areas of:
· Debt Control
· Debt Reporting
· Debt Collection
· Risk Management
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
* University degree
* ICM qualified or studying towards this qualification would be advantageous
* Preferably minimum 2 yearsexperience within Export Credit Control environment
ACCOUNTABILITIES
Ø Develop (with Brand Owner approval) and implement processes that support an effective Credit Control, maximizing cash collection, preventing un-authorised credit and minimizing bad debts within areas of responsibility
Ø Ensure all receipts are valid and correctly accounted for and are processed in the most efficient manner
Ø Produce robust data to support decision making and accounting expertise (e.g. age analysis reports, account balance analysis, overdue debt reports)
Ø Implement, and review (following Brand Owner approval) Service Level Agreements with customers, delivering customer service in line with established KPI’s
Ø Perform regular risk assessment on customers/countries within designated area using various sources of information
CAPABILITIES
You will need to have:
Ø Knowledge in SAP and basic accounting principles
Ø Knowledge in factoring, letters of credit and bank guarantees
Ø Comprehensive problem solving and influencing aptitudes as well as communication skills
Ø Ability to demonstrate a flexible approach to work
Ø Positive attitude to own development
Ø Proficiency in Excel
You will need also to be:
Ø Bilingual French / English
Ø Able to adapt when faced with new challenges
Ø Self starter with high levels of energy and commitment
