Position: Manufacturing Industry Accountant
 Prepares asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.Documents financial transactions by entering account information.Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.Summarizes current financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports.Substantiates financial transactions by auditing documents.Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.Answers accounting procedure questions by researching and interpreting accounting policy and regulations.Prepares special financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.Manage cash flow and forecasting by developing a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanismDevelop and monitor adequate internal control over revenues, expenses, assets and liabilities of the organisationProvide financial oversight of the capital expenditure process.Oversee internal daily audits of cash deposits, transfers and the preparation/monitoring of the Capital budget.Ensures implementation and compliance of policies and Standard Operating ProceduresEnsure legal and regulatory compliance regarding all financial functionsDay to day running of the finance departmentWork very closely with the management to keep tight control over working capitalManage the purchase functionBachelor of Commerce degree (accounting option)CPA (K) qualificationAt least 4 years ‘ experience in direct supervision and management preferred (in manufacturing industry)Knowledge of insurance, employee benefits, claims and liabilityAbility to effectively lead a team of professionalsInterested candidates are invited to strictly email their cover letter and CV, clearly detailing their current remuneration and expectations to recruit@odumont.com  before end of day  17 May 2012. Only short listed candidates will be contacted.
