Under general supervision, performs all phases of the rigging up and down of Surfce Well Testing (SWT) service line equipment on work locations for the purpose maintaining control and processing of wellbore fluids during well testing operations and providing the customer with essential reservoir information by the use of (but not limted to): Surface Well Testing and Surface Pressure Control equipment packages. In addition to responsibilities, systems knowledge, competence and skills sets acquired from lower level roles, this individual will be required to mentor and train lower level personnel in areas of expertise and will be required to become a dedicated Assessor for junior SWT personnel. Routinely works in more than one type of well site (onshore and offshore) and base camp as assigned by Service Coordinator. Capable of working in other product lines within the Testing & Subsea (PSL) on location and in the workshop. Participates in high profile projects. Provides the planning necessary for the job including rig site surveys, equipment set up, well site direction, and customer-related support activities. Performs quality control of well test data and provides basic customer reports. Monitors instruments and performs necessary calculations to assure quality of data/job. Job tasks, correctly performed, impact indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability of operations. Should have good working knowledge of all service lines within the Testing & Subsea PSL. Skills are typically acquired through completion of high school or similar education and 7 years of SWT experience. Must have successfully passed company tests or met task guideline requirements. Must have met the minimum competency requirements for the Service Specialist II # SWT. Must be able to perform all of the Testing & Subsea (SWT) jobs in the local area. Must be able to interpret P&ID drawings, navigate data books and perform QA related tasks related to (SWT) equipment & operations. Must be able to pressure test equipment safely. Must have demonstrated ability to work safely with hand tools.
Must have demonstrated knowledge of basic rig function including, but not limited to the following: a) Weight Indicator - What is it used for, and how it relates to our work. b) Mud System - Weights of common well fluids - what effect they can have on our equipment, pressure reading, strokes per/min - bbls/min. c) Basic rig manifold. d) Wireline Surface Pressure Control Equipment. Must be able to explain the function of the mobilization documentation. Must be able to review proposals received from Business Development (BD) to confirm best practices are followed and that proposed job plan will meet customer#s expectations in the most efficient manner. Must be able to communicate with other PSLs and third parties, to ensure equipment compatibility. Must be able to explain the local Halliburton Management System (HMS) process for Prepare Resources.
