The University of Bamenda is one of the eight state universities in Cameroon and of course it is the newest. This institution was created by Presidential Decree No. 2010/371 of 14th December 2010. It is operational with 2 Faculties: Faculty of Health Sciences and Faculty of Science, 1 higher institute: Higher Institute of Commerce and Management, 2 Teacher training colleges: Higher Teacher Training College (H.T.T.C.) and Higher Technical Teacher Training College (H.T.T.T.C.), all these institutions in Bambili-Bamenda the main campus of the university. During the installation ceremony of the pioneer Vice-Chancellor in the person of Prof. Tafah Edokat by the Honorable Minister of Higher education Prof. Jacques Fame Dongo, he nicknamed this university "THE UNIVERSITY OF THE FUTURE". Thus any body opting to teach or work is this university will be enhancing the future of young Cameroonians and as such must be hardworking as we will be needing very competitive lecturers for all the faculties and colleges.

Job Description:
The University of Bamenda is the newest state university in the Republic of Cameroon and as such requires experienced and competent lecturers for lectures to be effective. It has
2 Faculties (Medicine and Nursing),
2 Teacher Training Colleges (for general and technical education) and
1 Higher Institute of Management and Commerce This is the reason why we are calling on any body who deems fit to teach in any of the departments and disciplines which we will list below should apply. We are doing mass recruitment but note should be taken that it is based only on merit as we are to retain only the best the reason why the recruitment is done at the International level. Even the nationals of Cameroon have equal opportunities as those of the diaspora; thus every body is called upon to apply as the salaries and working conditions will be very encouraging.
The departments and disciplines needing lecturers are:
Medicine, Nursing,
English Language, French Language,
Mathematics and Computer Science,
History, Geography, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Geology,
Science of Education, Guidance and Counseling, Philosophy,
Economic Science, Management, Accountancy, Marketing,
Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
Social Economy and Family Management, ICT and Information Management and communication.
You will be required to jointly designed the course contents with the Dean of Studies and Head of Departments. You shall also be responsible to personally follow-up and supervise students.

University of Bamenda is located in Bambili a small town which is about 35 minutes drive from the main City of Bamenda. There are many private individuals with readily available hostels for both students and lecturers. Bamenda in Cameroon is fondly referred to as the "Seat of wisdom" because of its educational opportunities.

Payment package is:
- Salary of up to 7500USD per month based on qualifications and experience.
- Accommodation assistance
- Visa assistance
- 6 months probation period

Minimum Application Requirement
**Mastersr's Degree with a Teaching Qualification
**Minimum Years Exp.1- 2 Years
**Must be native speaker of English except for French teachers
**Prefer candidates with international experience
**Strong Teachers with a degree but no teaching qualifications are considered
**Male and Females can apply

Additional Requirements
**Experience of the American and British curriculum is also an advantage
