Job : Channel Development Executive Operation : Across the country Industry : FMCG Age : must be less than 30 yrs Education : Must be a degree holder with Good communication in English and local Languages Experience : 2- 4 yrs of expeince in any FMCG Sector as Business Development Job Description : . Channel Development - Identifying all channels in the responsible area. Need to know all channels, e.g., how many copy centers, stationery shops, MT, government sector. Need to know the market share of each channel, then they can cover all channels. Performance can be measured by the coverage of all key channels; number of stores visits and marketing support on those channels. - together with Head Office Team, formulating Channel Strategy and action plan, their relative importance, actions required to grow within each channel including channel promotions. The channels are stationery shops, DA copy centers, Non-DA Copy centers, Catalogue, corporate resellers, redistribution dealers, modern trade and tender business (such as direct sell to Government, big corporates). - Visit channels according to the visit schedule agreed with Head Office - Update channels' company profile monthly - Developing and growing all Channels including placing our products (both DA and NON-DA) in key channels such as Stationery shops, Modern Trade - Working closely with distributor to developing promotion within Modern Trade - Developing other channels: Pro-actively seek out new opportunities to enhance Double A?s brand awareness and volume such as penetration into other channels such as Schools, Universities, Convenient stores including direct sales into Government sector. - Monitoring trade prices in the markets through all channels and regions. - Implement CPE programs at and with trade channel partners, report results and collect supporting documents. 2. Trade price stability. Trade price monitoring. This is crucial to the growth of our paper brands. No trade channel will be permitted to undercut our recommended pricing. Your responsibility will be: - Ensure trade price structure is stable across all channels. - Ensure end user price is stable and at level agreed upon with HQ. - Monitoring the trade price structure and end user price. 3. Submit visit report to Country Representative 4. Competitor analysis. Working closely to update Competitor movements. Competitors are always moving to gain an advantage. We require on time reports that highlight and analyze competitive activity. The reports will cover all key aspects of branding: pricing, distribution, promotions in channel and communications. Qualifications: Education : General Degree in Marketing, Business Studies. Experience in Channel development is a plus Age : 25 to 30 Soft skills : good selling skills and account management knowledge Strength : Sales or Marketing implementation Industry Background : Reputable FMCG or other related industry Experience : Min 1-2 years at Sales or Marketing experience Employment Type: start at 1 year contract / or depend on the emloyment regulation Other Information Track Record Experience in dealing with channel partners Experience in growing and maintaining good channel partner relationship

WWF International, Regional Palm Oil Coordinator

The position is based in Yaoundé, Cameroon and the scope of responsibilities extend to a major part of the sub-region, i.e. Central Africa Republic (CAR), Gabon, Congo, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), Equatorial Guinea and Sao Tome & Principe.

Under the supervision of the GHoA GI Leader, the Regional Palm Oil Coordinator's major duties and responsibilities are:

Role
Currently, there is no strategy or road map in place on how to promote sustainable palm oil in the Congo Basin, in a context where many palm oil producers and investors try and expand their palm oil production activities in the region. The palm oil coordinator has the mandate to develop and implement a regional palm oil strategy. The position will support and coordinate work carried out by the Green Heart of Africa (GHoA) network and the Market Transformation Initiative (MTI) by promoting the production of sustainable palm oil following the principles and criteria of the Roundtable for Sustainable palm oil (RSPO).

The primary goal of the regional palm oil program is to ensure that the commodity is produced in a sustainable way without loss of biodiversity conservation and WWF priority landscapes and ecosystems.

Main Functions
The main role of the position includes:

Development of a strategy and road map on how to prevent that palm oil developments result in the conversion of bio-diverse and carbon rich natural forests;Guiding and coordinating palm oil activities in the Congo Basin region, by working with respective national staff;Promote sustainable palm oil with the national governments of Congo Basin countries;Facilitate collaboration and coordination of companies, governments, investors, NGOs and other stakeholders, including organizations of RSPO road shows, to increase adoption of the RPSO requirements in the region;Work with palm oil companies on how they can optimize management of biodiversity areas in their palm oil landscapes;Fundraising, including development of proposals, to finance defined activities to achieve sustainable palm oil development in the Congo Basin;Work with the WWF MTI network in order to deliver the palm oil strategy for MTI and ensure that all regional work on palm oil is aligned with WWF international strategies;Liaise with donors and ensure timely monitoring and reporting to them;Keep abreast of international, regional and national environmental palm oil policies and standards on palm oil, like RSPO;Represent WWF CARPO at workshops and forums.


Main Duties and Responsibilities:
The main duties and responsibilities of the job include:

Develop a strategy and road map to ensure sustainable palm oil production in the Congo Basin;Coordinate and oversee the implementation of the palm oil road map and work plan.Contribute to internal capacity building and knowledge management by organizing internal trainings on RSPO and HCV and by consistently sharing lessons learned in the region and wider network;Lead and manage the national palm oil staff in the Congo Basin region to deliver the defined regional palm oil strategy;Establish links with other relevant networks and WWF program's such as the MTI, the forest program, Forest-Carbon network and HCV coordinator.Strengthen regional capacity on the use of High Conservation Value (HCV) criteria as a conservation land use planning tool to prevent the conversion of high conservation value forests into oil palm concessions;Lobby governments in the Congo Basin on palm oil and land-use planning to prevent high conservation value losses;Lobby the use of sustainable palm oil and RSPO criteria with companies;Engage with companies and assist companies to adhere to RSPO criteria and wildlife management;Assist the relevant national offices in the Congo Basin to translate and implement the regional palm oil strategy.


Profile
WWF CARPO is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to support the development of a sustainable palm oil program for the Congo Basin. Required qualifications and experience for the position include:

Master's degree in Agri-business, forestry, economics, natural sciences, or in relevant fields;Technical proficiency or experience in the field of sustainable agriculture. Experience of having worked in the palm oil sector is a plus;Understanding of forest and wildlife policy, and natural resource management principles;At least 5 years of relevant industry experience;Understanding of key sustainability issues of palm oil production, including on standards and certification;Ability and experience to engage corporate sector actors and governments at national or regional levels;Familiarity and work experience in Africa or the region is a plus;Experience in fundraising and proposal writing and capacity to work independently;Fluency in French and good working knowledge of English;Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation).


Working Relationships:

External - Coordinates WWF's engagement with external partners on palm oil, including activities with governments, palm oil producing companies, RSPO, local communities, funding agencies and other NGOs;Internal - Works closely with the GHoA conservation director, RSPO liaison, HCV coordinator, MTI palm oil coordinator, Forest program and all regional offices in the Congo Basin.


Working Relationships:
Internal – Supervised by Regional Conservation Director/GHOA Global Initiative Leader, works closely with regional coordinators team to assure linkeags with B&I work, forest program and forest & climate work.. Coordinates fundraising and partnership work in this field with CARPO's GAA and partnership advisor. Has dotted line working relations with national conservation directors, and is member of the CARPO Conservation Committee (CCC). Is CARPO focal person for relevant WWF offices and programmes in this field, particularly the Market Transformation Global Initiative team.

External - Works closely with implementing and donor partners (bilateral and multilateral), governmental and non-governmental representatives, as well as private sector representatives.

In collaboration with Mars, Incorporated and national stakeholders, ICRAF is implementing the Vision for Change project aimed at revitalizing the cocoa sector in Côte d’Ivoire with empowered farmers producing cocoa on diversified farms with greater productivity, improved quality and profitable returns in thriving rural communities.

The job specifically includes the following duties and responsibilities:

In collaboration with scientists from Mars, Incorporated and national partners, the scientist will contribute to the following:
Design and implementation of a large in vitro cacao plant production pipeline through somatic embryogenesis in Côte d’Ivoire.
Programming of activities, calculations of consumption of materials and reagents, and preparation of budgets and financial and progress reports.
Evaluation of the embryogenic response of different genetic materials selected for in vitro plant propagation.
Coordination of collections of flowers for introduction in culture media.
Preparation of solutions, culture media and materials for the introduction of plant material and maintenance of in vitro cultures in solid and liquid media.
Acclimation of plants and evaluation of their development in the field.
Training of personnel in the process of propagation by somatic embryogenesis in solid and liquid cultures.
 Qualifications:
PhD in natural sciences or a related discipline  
Field experience in tropical, developing countries
At least 5 years of experience in Theobroma cacao L. somatic embryogenesis research 
Sound knowledge of soil science, agronomy and terrestrial ecology
Strong quantitative and statistical skills in multivariate and multilevel modeling 
Experience with cocoa agronomy will be an added advantage
A strong publication record
Ability to work in a team and good people skills
Proficiency in both English and French.

A fantastic opportunity is available for an Exploration Geologist within our London Head Quartered business.

• Experience: Exploration focussed geologists with 5-8 years’ experience.

• Self-motivated and able to manage a technical team of local geologists and the day to day exploration management, planning and budgeting

• Ideally east or West African gold experience.

• Physically fit.

• Drilling experience and management

• Ability to motivate a team

• A four year geological degree or equivalent

This role has natural progression to a more Senior Management role within the business.

Fly In Fly Out rotations available.
