Senior Environmental Engineer – Cameroon

 I am seeking a number of Senior Environmental Engineers with experience in industrial process operations including the treatment and disposal of liquid, solid and gaseous by-products. You will also be familiar with process and treatment methods in the mining and production of phosphates ensuring all operations are in accordance with IFC guidelinesThe main responsibilities of these roles will be to provide leadership and technical direction to a team of Environmental Engineers working on projects related to reducing air emissions, decreasing raw material and product usage and minimising waste streams.·       BS/MS in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering, or closely-related field·       Minimum of 7 years of industrial process or wastewater treatment experience·       Fluency in technical French and English required; conversational Arabic a plus·       Experience with water conservation and other strategies for improving plant efficiencies,        decreasing waste disposal and reducing energy usage·       Experience with environmental health and safety, and occupational safety·       Experience directing and managing engineering staff and budgets ·       Excellent self-leadership, interpersonal communication skills, and cultural sensitivity        with the ability to effectively and tactfully interact with individuals·       Demonstrated ability with client relationship management and consultation·       Ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules

Head of Projects - Cameroon

Apply £80000 to £90000 per annum Extras: Expatriate Allowances Manage, Lead, Supervise and coordinate activity of work force (shared and or dedicated), contractors and consultants engaged and operating (full time and/or part time) on projects (all aspects: HSE, Project Controls, Contracts, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Construction, Commissioning). For resources used from various functional departments: Dual reporting principle (functional reporting to Departments Head, operational reporting to Head of Projects) will be implemented (examples: Project teams responsible for managing Supply Chain Management activities as well as Project Controls activities with resources from functional departments - dual reporting to Department Heads as well as to Project Managers). All Projects managers/engineers (operating on projects) functionally report to Head of projects. Participate as active member of the daily operations meeting and establish a formal working interface process with all other departments. Monitor projects executed by Project Management Team; Approval of key decisions; Initiate gate reviews at end of each phase. Responsible for development of all plans and procedure for projects execution. Standardise project management practices across projects Develop, maintain and deploy project management processes and tools Adhere to segment business, and finance processes. Agree on standards and procedures for cross departmental processes. Strictly follow and implement corporate rules, guidelines and standard Manage, Lead, Supervise and coordinate activity of contractors/consultants/employees taking part in the execution of projects (all aspects: HSE, Project Controls, Contracts, Engineering, Quality, Procurement, Be the Company Representative or nominating a Company Representative with reference to administrated contracts. Approve all projects economics (prepared by business development group subsurface) and associated justification for projects generation. Ensure that the proper amount and quality of front-end-loading is achieved on projects during stage 1, 2 and FEED to allow for informed decisions and accurate cost/schedule forecasts to be made. Responsible for projects contracting strategy and implementation: Develop project execution strategies and contracting strategies and responsible for their implementation by Project Teams (Project teams lead ITT, qualification/clarification, recommendation, negotiations processes with Supply Chain Group functional support). Finally approve award recommendations. Responsible for project controls, reporting and for implementation of Project Controls tools (under Project Services department guidelines) leading to regular revision of projects budget and baseline and allowing controlled and accurate monitoring of progress and forecasts. Follow up on the permanent work design and coordinate this with the site.

Maintenance Supervisor - Cameroon

Our client, a well renowned international Drilling Contractor, requires a Technical Co-ordinator to oversee the preventive and corrective maintenance of all rig systems and to ensure the vessel is in compliance with regulatory body requirements, plans for Classification Society surveys as well as manage the preparation of shipyard surveys and upgrades. Also to ensure assets are maintained to a high operational standard and that inventory levels are adequate.

The Role

Safety

Required to be fully familiar with the vessels S.O.P.E.P, Waste Management Plan and PEI plan Ensure that non-conformities, accidents, incidents, and near misses within his department are documented and reported to the Master Ensure that all Maintenance personnel are issued personal protective equipment and ensure that the crew is trained in the maintenance and use of all necessary PPE. Hold daily departmental meetings to discuss and inform personnel of safety and general issues concerning the maintenance department. Ensure orientation and familiarization of all new and transferred personnel reporting to the vessel. Responsible for ensuring that his/her Certificate/s of Competency (MODU or STCW 95 as appropriate) and Medical are current. Ensure that adequate resources, tools, and equipment are available as required by the vessels Safety Management System. Ensure that Lifeboats, FRCs and Workboats are maintained and serviced according to recommended procedures. Will Liaise with the Chief Engineer.


Maintenance

Responsible for the maintenance, of all equipment (including drilling and subsea), machinery, main propulsion plant and all other vessel control systems

Ensure that all critical mechanical & electrical safety systems are maintained and tested to company standards and flag state regulations

Coordinate with the Site Manager and Captain (on DP vessels) to plan and schedule maintenance needs

Support the Rig Asset Manager in developing and executing all equipment requirements

Operate, monitor, evaluate, and document machinery performance

Ensure fuel operations are handled in accordance with procedures

Communicate with all department supervisors to organize; document, and implement planned preventative maintenance and repair procedures for all equipment on board.

Ensure personnel are aware, understand and follow written repair procedures. Document and communicate any discrepancies or problems to the Master, Site Manager and Rig Asset Manager

Maintain a record of the rigs engineering system activities

Administer Maximo program and coordinate all corrective PM between departments.

Sign off on all PM and CM work orders to guaranty proper execution of maintenance tasks

Periodically audit executed work to ensure consistent with work order report

Responsible for the MAF and EFR processes and coordinate follow up with Rig Asset Manager

Coordinate with the Rig Asset Manager for the preparation of the 5yr maintenance plan and any rig modifications or AFEs

Facilitate audit execution from shore and / or corporate office

Responsible for controlling inventory levels

Responsible for the follow up on action items

Track and Monitor AME KPIs

Review and update maintenance procedures, in conjunction with other department heads, to ensure that the vessels working operations are conducted in a way that prevents injury to personnel and/or damage to the vessel or equipment. Inform department personnel of any changes in these procedures.

Ensure that the drilling crew uses the Assets as they are designed to be used. Any abuse should be reported to his direct supervisors immediately

Generate Max and Mins levels for all expendable materials.

Review Maintenance Department requisitions and expenditures. Ensure that unnecessary items are not purchased, and that inventory levels are adequate.

Enlist department heads to carry out physical inspection of spares. Ensure good housekeeping of all maintenance work and storage areas

Ensure a smooth transition during Maintenance Department crew change.

Ensure all load bearing equipment and pressure vessels under his/her control are maintained, inspected, tested, certified and recorded based on Statutory Regulations and Class requirements. Department supervisors will keep the systems current and communicate any deficiencies.

Applicants

Associates degree in mechanical technology or related educational equivalent from an accredited technical school, trade school, or institute is preferred.

Must have 10 or more years of experience in maintenance department, as well as offshore experience.

Strong expertise in preventive maintenance systems

Strong experience in hydraulic, electrical, mechanic systems is required.

Knowledge in reading and interpreting hydraulic, electrical and mechanical drawings is required.

Knowledge in Class certification is required.

Knowledge in Regulatory Compliance is required.

Knowledge in Rig Survey is required

English needed, Bi-lingual is preferred (English, Spanish, French, Portuguese)

• Update and sign the daily logbook. Update drawings and diagrams. Actively participate in all investigation required by the methods team,
• Issue the Field Internal Requests required to fulfil his interventions. Issue the maintenance procedures or request their creation.
• Update the maintenance procedures or request their modification.

Safety and Quality management
• Control that the work is carried out according to professional practice and safety codes. Carry out the safety measures asked of him in the event of a fire alarm or detection of gas.
CMMS/UNISUP tasks
• Enter maintenance requests into the CMMS/UNISUP, Enter maintenance reports into the CMMS/UNISUP as soon as interventions have been carried out, Enter the man hours every day for himself and his team, Check the data in the CMMS/UNISUP system and issue modification requests if there are any discrepancies. Review the requested maintenance planning in the CMMS/UNISUP to be sure that no interventions are forgotten.
Equipment improvement
• Diagnose the causes of breakdowns of equipment that he maintains. Study and recommend any modifications, additions or removals enabling better operation of the installations or better equipment reliability. Investigate the causes of equipment failures. Carries out any other duties/projects that may be assigned to him/her by the Hierarchy.
Job requirements
· BSc. Engineering

· 10/20 years’ experience with similar equipment and plant preferably in the oil or petrochemical industries.

· Computer literate: MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Powerpoint, IBM Lotus Notes,

Position Description
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure successful after sales service by client services of all solutions delivered to the client
