The Environment

The Position
You will hold the position of Hinterland Operation Manager for Damco in Cameroon and join a young, energetic and ambitious team of highly skilled logistics professionals. You will head the Hinterland department and all operations into Chad and Central Africa. You will be ultimately responsible for developing actual and new identified corridors (Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, etc) and ensure implementation of proper processes to smoothly run the operations. Reproductive Health Regional Clinical Advisor

PSI seeks a fulltime Reproductive Health Regional Clinical Advisor Consultant to improve PSI's quality assurance systems and the quality of care provided by PSI's network/franchise clinics involved with the Women's Health Project (WHP) in the West and Central Africa region. The Women's Health Project is implemented in 15 countries around the globe with the objective of increasing family planning use with a focus on long term methods (specifically IUDs) and post abortion care (PAC). The aim of this consultancy is to improve and ensure the quality of care provided by PSI's network providers in the areas of service delivery of long term methods of contraception (with a focus on IUDs) and post abortion care services. Additionally, the Consultant will play a pivotal role in increasing PSI's representation at country, regional and global forums on reproductive health and advocate for increased use of IUDs and misoprostol for PAC.

This is a 2 year consultancy, with the possibility of extension, contingent on funding. The consultancy will be based in Yaound?, Cameroon and will report to the PSI/Cameroon Country Representative, with a secondary reporting line to PSI's Deputy Director, Services and the Deputy Regional Director for West and Central Africa. Approximately 30% travel will be required.

SCOPE OF WORK will include but are not limited to:

Review and further develop clinical quality assurance systems, in PSI's designated platforms in the West and Central Africa region, with a focus on IUDs, implants and PAC
Develop and implement a global monitoring system with the aim of improving the quality of care in the network clinics, as well as ensure that minimum standards of care are met by network providers in assigned countries.
Provide technical assistance to assigned WHP countries on quality assurance, by conducting regular quality assurance audits and providing training on quality assurance and PSI's global quality improvement system
Develop improved clinical guidelines and quality assurance and improvement systems for PSI's network providers to provide safe PAC services with misoprostol, as is legally permitted in a given country
Provide training to PSI clinical staff on: post partum IUD insertion, implant insertion, and the use of misoprostol for PAC
Represent PSI at country, regional and global reproductive health conferences and regional technical advisory/advocacy groups
Develop presentations and advocacy materials for countries to advocate to government and Ministry of Health officials for increased use of IUDs, and acceptance and use of misoprostol/MA for PAC and safe abortion.

RTA étudie actuellement deux projets d'aluminium et d'hydroélectricité au Cameroun (Afrique de l'Ouest) : un projet « brownfield » consistant à agrandir éventuellement l'usine Alucam d'Edéa et un important projet « greenfield » de construction d'une nouvelle fonderie dans un port en eau profonde. RTA collabore également au développement d'un port en eau profonde multi-utilisations à Kribi.

Un poste Directeur, Développement des relations communautaires est à pourvoir. Sa mission principale consiste à représenter les intérêts de RTA au niveau des collectivités locales, à gérer à l'échelle locale le développement des programmes collectifs de RTA, à diriger les programmes de réinstallation, à superviser la composante sociale de l'Évaluation environnementale et sociale (ESIA) ainsi qu'à entretenir et préserver l'image de RTA à travers les projets.

Le poste :

Directement rattaché au Directeur des Projets de développement au Cameroun et indirectement au Directeur C&ER pour l'EMOA, le candidat retenu sera chargé :

D'apporter ses connaissances et son expertise à l'équipe en charge des projets dans les domaines des collectivités d'accueil, des administrations locales, des agences de développement et des organisations non gouvernementales au Cameroun.
D'imposer à l'équipe en charge des projets des bonnes pratiques, normes et modèles pour les programmes des collectivités.

De diriger le positionnement général, le développement stratégique et le déploiement de RTA en termes des communautés hôtes et d'encourager la diversification économique de ces communautés par le biais de partenariats adaptés avec les ONG pertinentes et/ou autres parties.

Le candidat retenu devra justifier de :

Un diplôme d'enseignement supérieur (de préférence)
Une expérience en mise en place de programmes au sein des communautés.
Une excellente aptitude à communiquer avec un public varié.
La capacité à établir des relations professionnelles positives à tous les niveaux, en interne comme en externe.
Expérience préalable de collaboration à un projet international de plusieurs millions dollars, idéalement dans un pays en développement
