Responsible for managing all financial functions of the company:
1) Manage financial relationship with parent company and investors. Assure all needs are identified and met.
2) Monitor and manage the work of company accounting department; Establish and monitor compliance with company accounting standards.
3) Lead the company budget processes:
-Create annual budget for country operations
-Work with all department managers to gather input and create department-level budgets
-Monitor spending against budget and report to senior management on quarterly basis.
4) Assure quarterly and annual financial reporting are accurate and timely.
5) Manage company relationship with auditing firm.
6) Review and approve company tax filings.
7) Monitor and report company compliance with the U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
At least 15 years accounting experience with 10 years in a management role Possess advanced accounting degree Must be certified by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Cameroon or the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants; prefer Level 3 ACA certification or equivalent Skilled with spreadsheets and Quickbooks Very good English speaking and writing skills Experience with large commercial agriculture projects is a plusView the original article here
