Finance Manager

Our client is a specialist provider of engineering, operations and maintenance services to the Oil & Gas industry around the globe. They have over 25 years of operational experience and employ over 8,000 personnel worldwide. They are currently looking to recruit a Finance Manager based in Douala, Cameroon.

As Finance Manager your main responsibilities will include:
* Preparation of client invoices in compliance with the terms of the contract
* Accounts receivable
* Accounts payable function; oversee the review & payment of all invoices
* Local bank account, cash flow forecasts / funding requests, petty cash administration
* Responsible for timely and accurate processing of local payroll
* Month end close out
* Monthly Reporting, cost reports, variance analysis, reconciliations, currency analysis
* Preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
* Preparation of monthly personnel income tax computations, monthly VAT declaration
* Responsible for cost management
* Ad hoc duties
* Supervision of local accountants and admin personnel
* Oversee procurement & subcontract activities.
* Responsible for in country administration, IT, travel, logistics, visa & work permits
* Will be required to provide cover during Business Administration Manager Leave periods
* Liaison with the client, site personnel & company management in Chad
* Liaison with external legal/tax advisors and Company Tax & Legal
* Responsible for all branch accounting activities
* Responsible for organisational tracking of all project personnel
* Responsible for updating and maintaining Cameroon specific accounting processes, procedures & financial controls to ensure compliance with company, client and statutory regulations

Qualifications and experiecne required:
* Proficient user of Excel
* Oracle experience preferable but not essential
* Good verbal communication skills
* Ability to liaise with people on the project
* Ability to work as part of a small multi disciplined team
* Self motivator
* Ability to work unsupervised
* Previous project accounting experience
* HNC or other recognised accounting qualification
* Suit part-qualified CIMA/ACCA

This is a contract position.

The rate for this position is negotiable.
