Job Title: Distribution Manager
Department: Sales
Reporting to: Director of Sales
Category: 10 (Diageo Level 5)
No of positions: 02Contract: Permanent

PURPOSE

· To develop and sustain amazing relationships with a number of our key Distributors
· Todevelop and drive our joint strategy and Breakthrough agenda with Distributors, lead Distributors’ Executive teams to drive our plans with wholesalers/stockists
· Tohave direct performance and P&L responsibility
· Tohave a strong focus on developing capabilities within Distributors’ organisations.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

* Master University Degree in business or related field.

* Minimum 6 years track record in Sales, ideally with experience in at least two areas of Sales including Customer or Distributor facing roles.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Ensuringthat our brands are available at “arms reach” across our targeted channels.
2. Transforming the capabilities of our Distributor partners up to Diageo functional and leadership standards (sales techniques, targeting trade investments, growing customer/channel profitability…)
3. Optimizing Distributors’ P&L
4. Creating mutually beneficial relationships to deliver business growthand acting as a coach and advisor to our Distributor Partners

CAPABILITIES

You will need to have:

* Commercial acumen and project management skills

* P&L literacy, strong numerical skills, a high level of computer literacy.

* Ability to coach others in the Diageo Way of Selling capabilities and tools. Particular depth is required in Distributor Management, Joint Up Business Planning, Targeted Trade Investment and Customer & Channel Profitability.

* Previous experience of managing/leading teams either directly or indirectly and a strong track record as a coach

* An ability to influence and get customers’ buy-in

You will also need to be:

· Skilledin working within and with other functions, delivering results through cross-functional teams, particularly marketing, supply and corporate relations
· Able to integrate learning from multiple market sources and generate insights, which requires good analytical skills
· Bilingual French / English
