As Head of Tax and Treasury section, you need to ensure that Guinness Cameroun S.A. has:

An effective Cash Management Strategy Effective tax planning and management.
CA, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification· Minimum of 7 years post qualification experience in similar roles with proven integrity.

ACCOUNTABILITIES

As Tax & Treasury Manager, you should be able to:

Manage the relationships between GCSA, and all of the Banking Partners and the Tax authorities.Manage the relationships between GCSA, and: Diageo Africa Hub, Diageo BIRF, Diageo Business Services (for I/C), Diageo Treasury, and any external Government authorities. Advise GCSA FLT on Equity/Debt ratios, Foreign Currency requirements, Short/Medium/ Long-term borrowing requirements, Dividend payments, and relationship Banking Partners.Preparation of monthly rolling Cash Flow forecasts Preparation of rolling Foreign Currency forecasts, to enable timely payment of Foreign Currency Invoices to 3rd Party Suppliers (2-weekly & Quarterly)Working closely with the tax advisers to ensure timely provision of all information required for tax computations, reviews and filing of appropriate returnsEnsure timely payment of: Inter-Company Balances / Royalties & TSF / Dividends / Taxes.Working with the Diageo Risk, Offshore and Local Brokers to ensure company assets are adequately insured against all insurable risks.Delivery of all the necessary Audit requirements for the Treasury function.Coaching, development, and effective succession planning.CAPABILITIES

You will need to have:

· Commercially Astute, understands the industry, financial business linkages and the implications of actions on company performance.

· Ability to facilitate, persuade, influence and build credibility with all levels and all functions.

· Effective networking skills in both an internal and external context.

· Sound IT knowledge in the use of outlook (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

· Working knowledge in accounting package- RTR SAP, Treasury and Tax experience.

· Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in both English and French.

· Analytical, interpretative and decision-making skills.

· Excellent coaching and relationship building skills.

· Good communication and presentation skills.

You will need also to be:

· Expert with International Accounting Standards and Auditing guideline on taxation issues.

· Good team player

· Extremely well organized

· Bilingual French / English

· A self-starter with high levels of energy & commitment

· Constantly seeking to improve business processes and drive efficiency.
