Re-touch of Pholographs for Unique African Museum Web Project, Cameroon

Re-touch of pholographs for unique African museum web project

Mus'Art Gallery

TASK

The task involves re-touching photos to give a perfect finish in order to use them in the website project by Mus'Art Gallery. The professional graphic designer will have to eliminate the white background for all the images on the photos. The figures on the photos should come out as if they were life. After this is accomplished, the images could be spiced with other backgrounds. This is a moment for professional graphic designers to express their high spirit of creativity.

Each volunteer shall work on 15 photos and the photos should be ready in 4 weeks time. The photos will be provided by the museum and the museum will answer questions as the volunteers work on the photos. Each volunteer shall be credited for the photo contributions we use on our website.

Number of volunteers: 4

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

The Mus'Art Gallery opened in December 1996 and is a private museum dedicated to the memory of Cameroonian woodcarver Daniel Kanjo Musa and his son John Yuniwo Musa. Committed to the preservation of art and craft from the grass-fields region of Cameroun, the museum is a unique showcase for traditional wood carving and a resource for education on this dying art form.

The website shall be a useful tool for students, teachers, the general public and anyone interested in art museums.

OBJECTIVE

The museum is presently working on a new website that will effectively carry across the work it is doing to safeguard heritage.

The task will support us in presenting good quality photos that will go a long way to give a good image of the museum.
