Managing DIRECTOR/CEO required for global Operator - ZAMBIA
The Role:
To oversee the entire operations for one country. Responsible for the operational direction with profit and loss responsibility. Establishes growth strategy and objectives, coordinating with company International strategy, goals and standards. Evaluates results to determine if performance objectives are met. Develops initiatives for sales opportunities within country.
Assist in the development of International strategies and strategic objectives and the operating policies and procedures to ensure attainment of these objectives:
Ensures the implementation of International strategy in the operating companyEnsures that plans and policies are understood and administered by the management teamUses strategic objectives as basis for establishing performance measures and incentive programs for management teamResponsible for the operational direction of the company:
Formulates the strategy and the short- and long-term objectives of the company, including budget and within local context ensure proper implementationOversees all functions for the local operations such as sales/marketing, personnel, accounting, and operations to ensure attainment of both International and local operation goals and objectivesPlans and directs all policies and procedures within the local operationStays current on international standards, regulations or customs affecting local operationsDevelops strategic business plan within local and global business contextIntegrates Financial, Commercial and Operations business plansObtains agreement and involvement in the setting and communication of company's strategy and objectivesEnsures proper functioning of Marketing and Planning BoardIdentifies business growth opportunities, maximizing revenue and profitEnsure all financial controls and reconciliation systems are in place to support local operations and International requirements:Ensures sound financial record and reporting and balance creditsEnsures optimal management of business and legal risks, in order to achieve financial objectives and targetsIdentifies and takes into account financial implications and limitations of all key business decisionsCreates awareness for financial control measures within companyResolves interconnect issuesEnsure Marketing and Sales plans are in place to support local operations and International business targets:Identifies and takes into account marketing and sales implications of all key business decisionsEnsures Marketing-, Customer Service-, Sales- and Distribution plans are in placeEnsure Operations and Technical business plans are in place to support local operations and International targets:Identifies and takes into account operational and technical implications and limitations of all key business decisionsEnsures Network development and roll-out plans are developed to reflect market requirementsEnsures IT/Billing and OSS successfully support business requirementsBuild relationships with governments, regulatory bodies, business partners and suppliers, in line with legislation and in line with guidelines from International, in order to raise the company's profile within external political/ social environment:Effectively manages relationships with government and non-government bodiesActs as a first representative for International in the designated companyCoordinates PR and media communicationExecutes regulatory affairsOrganize, staff, manage, motivate and develop the human resources within the company, in line with the HR strategy of International, to optimize contribution to business results and to be an employer of choice:Establishes and maintains effective systems of communications with employeesEnsures effective contribution from senior managementProvides leadership to projectsActively initiates cross functional co-operation and communicationProvides staff with coaching and leadership to enable personal developmentRequired Skills, Experience and Background:
