Finance Director / Controller- CENTRAL AFRICA

Our International client has a rewarding opportunity for a Finance Director/ Controller to be based in Cameroun.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

· CA or Relevant
· 10 – 15 years experience in accounting/Finance
· Previous experience in the Mining industry will be an added advantage
· Excellent communication skills
· International working experience
·Understanding of various cultures

RESPONSIBILITIES

Involve the full financial function including:

Financial Leadership Project cost control and managing expenditure Compliance with legal and taxation requirements· Managing and recruiting local staff
· Incharge of setting up and overseeing the day to day financial/ accounting operations of the company
· Reviews / audits  
· reconciliations·         
· Reviews / audits
· Internal controls
· Prepare management accounts
· Reviews and reports on monthly Head Office income & expenses
· Supervise and check all calculations done and statutory returns prepared and submitted
·Cash management and Cash flow projections
·Maintenance of Fixed asset register and reporting on Capex
· Implement and assist in reviewing Financial Policies and Procedures
· Preparation and monitoring of budgets and reporting on variances
· Maintain Financial records and audit trails
· Ensures Branch compliance, communication and follow up
· Design and Implement internal financial controls

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

French speaking will be highly advantageous Must be able to work in a multi-cultuaral and challenging business and social environment
