Procurement and Supply Chain Manager - Cameroon

We are an emerging iron ore company in Central Africa currently developing world class projects. The company is a young, focused and dynamic organisation with its head office in London.

Role:

• We are seeking an experienced professional to take the lead role for an international procurement and supply chain.
• A key requisite is the ability and style to work within multi-disciplinary teams and functions where performance to tight deadlines is demanded.
• The successful candidate will have the ambition and ability to progress within the organisation, and introduce best practice for all the operations.
• Experience in Africa and French knowledge will be looked upon favourably.

List of Duties

1. Managing a team of 10 people covering supply chain, operations and logistics, internationally and within Africa
2. Knowledge of both Import and Export procedure in and out of Africa
3. Knowledge of airfreight operation procedures
4. Setting the strategy for procurement in line with company strategy
5. Negotiating and establishing good relationships with current and new suppliers
6. Reviewing and analysing supplier performance
7. Setting and managing departmental budgets
8. Liaising with other internal departments such as finance, and senior management
9. Overseeing all purchasing across all departments supporting the exploration projects
10. Basic understanding of warehouse operations

Salary & Package:
