Junior Professional Officers (JPO)


Finnish official development cooperation is planned and financed by the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. Finland has signed agreements with the United Nations and other organizations to make it possible for young Finnish professionals to gain two years of international work experience in these organizations. Centre for International Mobility CIMO administrates the recruiting process.

General qualifications for all posts: Master's degree or equivalent from a university The applicant should have at least two years of relevant working experience. Due to the training aspects of the JPO/APO programme the applicant should be no more than 32 years of age. The applicant should be fluent in English, and have knowledge of another official UN language.
