Responsibilities

BAU Processing (10%)

Manage exceptions arising from confirmations and settlements.Ensure that daily deliverables/checklists are effectively completed and reviewed for relevance and effectiveness.Ensure that all control processes, policies and initiatives are communicated, updated and complied with by the team.Engage and participate in all FO issues and assess the impact on downstream processes foreffective communication and support.Co-ordinate and ensure that all migrations and novations are managed effectively.Be able to provide BAU coverage for the team when the need arises.Engage the global team for process consistency and updates.Project Management (30%)

Participate in the successful delivery of projects through business design, user testing, training and rollout.Evaluate the effectiveness of Management Information.Review and participate in new business and industry initiatives as well as Business Process DesignAssist Project Manager in AOC migration activitiesFacilitate system enhancement and process improvementsStaff Supervision and Management (60%)

Manage resources to ensure effective and efficient delivery and optimal backup/coverageAttract, retain, train and motivate the teamDrive effective performance managementParticipate actively in management and control meetingsFacilitate team meetings to improve daily processing issues and address potential control gapsMonitor daily volume and provide coverage when necessaryPut in place objectives and comprehensive performance measurement indicators for each staffOversees staff’s overall development and ensure they are in line with the department’s objective and  directionsDeputise Head of FXMM Operations during his absence.Essential Experience

At least 8-10 years of experience working in Operations, of which 2-3 years are in a managerial capacity.Advance knowledge of the Foreign Exchange (NDF and FXO) & Money Markets and the client base for these productsGood understanding of downstream operational processes, eg confirmation, settlement and investigation for treasury related productTechnical Experience

Good understanding of Financial ProductsStrong IT skillsProject management experience
