Well Construction Products Operations Supervisor

Job Purpose:

The WCP Operations Supervisor is the key focal point for all well construction products (Liner hangers, Cementing Products, Inflatable, Swellable packers and Solid Expandable Systems. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that a high quality of service delivery is an on-going part of country operations measuring performance against recognized KPIs.  Focus is on technical support, supervising field and workshop staff, inventory control, ordering equipment, job planning, problem job investigation. The incumbent must also have the means to monitor and analyze the BU financial performance at the country level. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that WCP approved processes and procedures are being followed. Review and sign off jobs in WPTS and complete monthly PL reporting as required

The incumbent will be expected to run critical jobs when necessary

Job Responsibilities:

Supervising planning building and testing of equipment as per WCP Global Quality Standards to ensure operational excellence in service delivery.

Running critical jobs at the clients well site when required

Review SORs, WPTS job reporting and brief and debrief filed and workshop staff as required

Provide Technical and Business Development support within the sphere of country WCP operations

Develop, communicate and implement area wide strategy initiatives and ensure operational excellence
Interface between the Region and the operations staff on issues such as technical, business development and global strategy

In conjunction with the Country managers develop fiscal and quarterly plans and monitor progress

Plan jobs in conjunction with the customer and applications engineers

Assist Field staff during job installations when issues occur to ensure operational excellence.

Visit customers to promote Weatherford solutions. Gather relevant well data, complete relevant details in Statement of Requirements (SOR) and communicate job planning details with client noting and updating any changes in equipment in relation to changing well data and job parameters.

Plan inventory and asset requirements, ordering equipment when required and assisting other areas by transferring excess equipment. Liaise with supply chain to ensure inventory requirements are being met.
Manage field and workshop staff - ensure quality standards and processes are being met and ensure all WPTS entries are being complete and approve

Lead operational reviews with field and workshop staff

Supervise any CPAR investigations and carry out lessons learned to prevent reoccurrence and close out with clients to their satisfaction

Monitor BU P&L statements and forecast revenue by month and quarter or as required. Complete P&L reporting requirements as asked
Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Management within the timeframe specified in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable and you are capable and deemed competent to fulfill these.

Required Qualifications:

Essential:
Must have completed a tertiary education in a technical subject and possess a good level of general education in Mathematics & English language. Must have a minimum of 3 years field service history

Preferred:
Ideally should have completed tertiary technical qualification in Engineering or similar and have run WCP products on land and on maritime locations for a minimum of 3 years

Required Skills:
Essential:
Must have in depth expertise in designated PL and in depth knowledge of other PL interfaces.
Must have an in depth  working knowledge of rig systems, drilling & production operations
Must have a full understanding of global WFT WCP processes and in particular the SOR process and associated management of change
Must have a full understanding of down-hole hydraulics and be able to explain WFT WCP down hole functiuonality in accordance.
Have the ability to interpret and understand well-site data in relation to system functionality
Have the ability to write procedures based upon equipment specifications and well data.
Have the ability to ask clients relevant questions with respect to equipment performance and be able to interpret the answers in relation to system functionality.
To be able to view and interpret engineering drawings
Must have an ability to work  as team leader and foster an environment  to resolve potential and actual problems within specific time constraints.
Must have good personal time management skills along with a demonstrated ability to effectively utilise dedicated resources to achieve positive results or solutions
Must be able to plan, prioritize and control and take responsibility for own work and work of others
Must have proven technical problem-solving ability.
Must be able to interpret technical requirements across multi product lines as laid out in client's scope of work and be able to identify and communicate clarifications accordingly.
Must have good communication skills, both verbal & written. Must have excellent keyboard and computer skills.

Preferred:

Working product line expertise in preparation of technical tenders and related workshop and field experience.
