Finance Manager Cameroon and Gabon

Job Description

This position has the overall responsibility in managing the financial functions of Cameroon and Gabon.

The Finance Manager is responsible and accountable for the following Core job elements for Cameroon and Gabon.

•  Ensure that the financial function conforms to CFP’s, GAAP and Local Accounting Standards.

•  In conjunction with General Manager – CDT, device and implement business plans such as New Products, New Geography’s and GtM strategy’s. 

•  Negotiate and approve all company contracts together with Division/Hub Legal

•  Improve margin/profitability by proposing timely Selling Price Increase after considering all external and internal factors such and exchange rates, cost increases and competitive actions.

•  Prepare for Mid Year and Budget Reviews including testing all estimates for reasonability, accuracy, achievable and also they meet company goals and ratios.

•  Ensure smooth monthly, quarterly and annual closing.

•  Approve all Purchase Orders and payments.

•  Prepare all quarterly and annual reports for HUB Finance requirements.

•  Update monthly and quarterly sales and profit forecasts based on latest sales trends.

•  Deal with all matters of Insurances, internal and external audits and taxes.

•  Prepare Annual Statutory accounts and reconciliation with management accounts.

•  Responsible for preparation of monthly payroll.

•  Responsible for all IT function and support.

•  Prepare all Board of Directors minutes.

•  Attend to all ad hoc information as request by the Hub and New York. 

Education and Qualifications

•  The position for this Job requires at a minimum an accounting qualification such as CPA or ACCA and a degree.

•  MBA degree with concentration in Finance or Management is an added advantage.

•  In addition to the above the incumbent should also have a proven career track record and extensive years of experience in finance roles.
