Regulatory Affairs Manager - Cameroon

Adexen Recruitment Agency is looking to recruit a Public Affairs Manager for an international FMCG Group.

The Public affairs manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating and directing the activities of the organisation to ensure compliance with regulations and standard operating procedures. He/she will also be responsible for the coordination of internal and external communication.

He/she will report to the Public affairs director. The position is based in Cameroon.

Work with Public Affairs Director to ensure that regulation is a core part of the development of the market, business strategy and business planning fully reflects the reality of the environment, providing the basis for future business sustainabilityTo support Public Affairs director in ensuring that there is a clear, actionable view of the regulatory futureDevelop and execute regulatory campaign plansDrive awareness and education programmes for staff, to ensure that they fully understand and have access to the company’s regulatory views and messagesDevelop and execute an agreed regulatory agenda to include coordination of appropriate cross functional engagement with all key stakeholdersEnsure the execution of activities required by the regionContribute to the development of regional regulatory strategy/initiatives as requiredComplete and maintain a comprehensive stakeholder mapping and classification process, constantly reviewed, updated and utilised in developing breadth and depth of engagementPlay an active role in ensuring that all company activities comply with relevant standards and regulations; to challenge non-compliance where appropriate and to ensure that legal consultation occurs as necessaryRepresent the company on regulatory issues, ensuring and coordinating the involvement of expertise from other functions as necessary.Provide/coordinate expert partner support to other functions and the business on general regulation issuesHave at least 5 years of public relation experience in the public and private sector;Have a thorough understanding of FMCG business, taxation and fiscal matters;Have good interpersonal skills both one-on-one and with large groups;Be familiar with the procedures of planning, managing and designing engagement campaigns;Have good influencing skillsBe detail oriented with ability to think innovatively;Possess excellent project management skills;Demonstrate good managerial and communications skills;Have excellent written and verbal communication skills;Have excellent command over French language; Good level of English language; Exhibit good people leadership qualities.Have business administration, Tax and Legal background
