Reports to: Trade Analyst will report to Trade & Marketing Manager (To be advised).
Leadership level:Individual Contributor
Job level:Supervisor (Level 51 in the former Job Grading System)

Job overview purpose/ summary
. Optimize yield on a given trade
. Communicate and execute String Strategies in the Cluster
. Engage actively with NNP on market development and opportunities in order to constantly optimize yields
. Focus on running the Strings day-to-day locally including input to uptake management and pricing. Apply Operational / Tactical mindset!
. Be a market expert, both in terms of customer and competitor developments
. Constantly look for business development opportunities, both short, medium and long term
. Monitor and drive compliance with global commercial processes

Key responsibilities
. Adopt & communicate string strategy to cluster and enhance execution
. Local Uptake Management execution and optimization
. Ensure sales pipeline is aligned with trade needs
. Engage with NNP and local Sales on pricing feedback/compliance & recommendations
. Engage with NNP and local Sales on market feedback & recommendations
. Engage with NNP and local Sales on Business development opportunities around customer and product segments
. Convert trade knowledge into market opportunities and input to campaigns
. Ensure compliance with all commercial processes
. Facilitate local equipment prioritization

Skills required
. You are able to play an integral part of the business decision-making process and help Maersk Line achieve and maintain competitive leadership.
. You are able to identify competitive trends and provide recommendations on how to take advantage of same.
. You are able to develop understanding, create insight and drive action for Cluster Top, Sales NNP and Marketing.
. You have deep insight into Maersk Line products, trades and yield optimization, and are able to play a vital role in the day-to-day execution of string strategy locally in the Cluster
. You are proficient in consulting techniques, research, analysis and assessment of information, and dissemination and communication of insights to key decision-makers.
. You thrive in an environment of many different stakeholders and are able to build trusted relationships across organizational layers and functions
. You have minimum 3 years experience in shipping, and preferably a relevant academic degree. Further, you have strong analytical skills, the ability to work systematically and an energetic, positive mind-set and attitude
