Deputy Country Manager

A diverse role suited to a Finance specialist looking to expand your career into a supportive Management position. HR and procurement / logistics experience in the mining industry highly regarded.

Focused on becoming a world class producer, this ASX listed Australian based international resources company is leading the development of the world’s next great iron ore province.

Reporting into and supporting the Country Manager you will assist with all in-country activities associated with exploration and development projects. Responsibilities will include preparing progress and financial reports, local audits and financial /purchasing control, arrange logistical support, contracts management and administration, HSE, manage insurances, manage housing and vehicles plus assist with HR, commercial and legal support.

To be considered for this pivotal role, applicants will require;

• 5-8 years experience in a similar capacity
• Relevant tertiary and training qualifications
• Proven competencies in strategic leadership and management
• Government relations and knowledge of mining legislation
• Exemplary written and verbal communication, reporting and computer skills
• Experience working in West Africa or developing countries
• Fluent French language skills are essential
