Our client one of the UK's most successful construction organisations is in final negotiations with their client for providing a CM team for a 65km road construction project in Cameroon, over a 30 months period.

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Manager reporting to the Project Director to be responsible for all mechanical aspects of the project.

Required experience with all the mechanical engineering aspects of an overseas project. Extremely useful if candidate also has had experience on primarily civils orientated projects such as as roads, bridges, highways, and experience of previous work in sub-Saharan. Job Background/context:

The Finance Manager as one of the Executive Management Committee Members of the Cameroon operations is responsible for all matters related to financial reporting.

One of his/her role will be to build a finance organisation that can cope with the increasing activities of the region, the integration of the group in Cameroun (including change of back office system) as well as the additional level of reporting.

Job Purpose:

To be fully responsible for all finance matters and to liaise with all appropriate personnel in the Group (MEA CFO, MEA Finance Controller, MEA Treasurer, MEA Legal Counsel, Tax, Platform controllers..)To be fully responsible for preparing the annual budget and semi-annual reforecast.To be fully accountable for the accurate and timely production of Statutory Financial and Management reportingTo be responsible for tax matters including Tax reporting, relationship with fiscal and custom authoritiesTo be fully accountable for all treasury matters on a day-to-day basis (back office..) ;  financing and bank relationship being shared with the GM and MEA Treasurer To be the custodian of all financial governance and financial/operating controls.To look after administrative matters liaising with group for legal, corporate secretaries’.

Chief Geologist - Cameroon

Reporting to the General Manager, the Chief Geologist will oversee the company's technical aspects including geology, resource development, surveying, mine exploration and industrial production activities and will supervise the work of mine geologists.

Location: Djoum, South Region, Cameroon

Key Roles and Accountability

- Manage the Technical departments, specifically geology department and evaluate resources
- Develop and implement exploration and resource definition drill programs,
- Interpret geologic and assay data and provide support for short-term and long-term mine production planning.
- Inspect mining areas for unsafe working conditions and structures.

Key Criteria

- Tertiary qualification (MSc or greater) in geology or related discipline
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in the field of mineral exploration (preference to base metal and iron ore exploration)
- Proven practical team-management experience in exploration programmes
- Bi-lingual French and English.
- Competent in observing and interpreting geological features
- Leadership skills with demonstrable organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- A conscientious attitude towards health and safety is a must.

As DAMCO Chief Accountant, you will be responsible for the financial activities of MLOG in Cameroon. You will report to the DAMCO Finance Manager. You will be instrumental in bring about necessary changes within DAMCO finance.

General Areas of Responsibilities:

Establishing the DAMCO Cameroun budgetEnsuring accurate job costing as well as timely invoicing and file closingFollow up on Bank guarantee status and ensure that the bank guarantees are cancelled soonest (minimise the outstanding bank guarantees over 90 days)Ensuring reconciliation of creditor statements and clearing of reconciling itemsPreparation of statutory financials.Responsible for the monthly and annual financial statements of MLOG and ensure timely management reportingPresenting financial statements for management decisionsControlling cash flow and outstanding dues from the customers for the total companyActive participation in country HFM sign-off, annual book closing and preparation of board meeting materialsEnsuring proper controls are in placeProvide day to day guidance and coaching to the accounting teamEnsuring compliance with Cameroun tax regulations and APM GAPEnsuring all contracts are kept valid at all times and we have operating contract with all major operators used by MLOGMonthly customer profitability analysis / true business partnerInteract and manage relationships with Bankers, Auditors and Tax advisorsAny other task that may be allotted to ensure effective functioning of the Finance department based on exigencies of workRequirements: Self starterAbility to initiate and implement changesDecisiveness and sense of urgencyIndependence and result orientationAbility to deliver under pressureGood knowledge of MS office
