SCOPE OF WORK
Lead engineer for Exploration HP-HT project in Opco’s especially Cameroon exploration and delineation operationsPrepare all input to Well Proposals, ATD, Basis Of Design and Drilling Programme in conjunction with Support Team in Geneva and DoualaTo support the Drilling Operations Manager and perform drilling engineering and procedure writing in cooperation with support functions in Geneva for engineering, production technology, economics, finance and subsurface for drilling activities.To identify those technologies and solutions which are most likely to determine the optimum methods of drilling these wells (MPD etc.)To prepare all well cost estimates and submit AFE’s as per procedure.Follow up of HP-HT operation with travel to Opco for technical and operational supportPrepare and issue specialist reports on drilling related aspects of operations as required.In collaboration with the OPCO, prepare the final well report and conduct cost variance report for the AFE cost versus actual cost.Prepare for and coordinate DWOP as well as associated workshops and milestone meetings in accordance with Well Delivery Process Guidelines.Provide duty cover and delegate to Drilling Operations Manager as requested.Provide input to new APC drilling policies, procedures, manuals and guidelines in accordance with corporate standards.Key Experience and skills
A minimum 10 years industry experience with an Operating Company in a well engineering/operations function.Knowledge of HP-HT engineering process and operations including use of MPD technologyOperational experience in West Africa with an Operating Company.Ability to fluently write and speak English (French would be a positive).Ability to function in a multi-discipline team.Exposure to start-up operations.Ideally offshore field experience as a Drilling Engineer/Supervisor.Ability to communicate in a corporate environment.

With the requirement for Geoscience and Subsurface Professionals constantly being on the rise, there has been an opportunity made available for four Senior Reservoir Engineers to join an Operator that is presently working on world-class exploration basins such as Brazil, Peru, Northern Iraq, Australia and the North Sea. The main reason for this recruitment requirement coming about is due to growth that has been driven mainly by acquisitions, with the main strategy being evolved rapidly towards increasing production and reserves, and renewing licenses.
The ideal candidate will be required to work within either Cameroon or Gabon for a period of up to 2 years, after this period of time you will be moved to work from the clients London HQ.
The successful candidate ideally will have previous experience working in either Cameroon or Gabon and also having previous experience managing a team of reservoir engineers.
