It Group is a leading manufacturer of TMT Steel Bars at their integrated plants located at Cameroon and Nigeria. The strategic location of the plants in West Africa has given the group an opportunity to convert abundant and cheap steel scrap available in this region into a profitable venture and meet the regions demand for steel bars which is on a fast track growth due to the economic development.
It Group also has facilities for lead manufacture. The battery scrap which is available in plenty in this region is usefully recycled for manufacture of lead which is exported to Middle East and India.
The third line of business of Group is international trade of secondary metals including both ferrous and non ferrous scrap. Both ferrous and non ferrous scrap is procured from different countries in Africa, UAE and exported to Middle East, Asia, China and other such markets.
Job Description
Job Profiles :
To Prepare, examine and analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards
Job Responsibility :
Resolve fund related problems.
· Reconcile all pending accounts on a monthly basis.
· Preparation of Management Report.
· Track and record of all advances and dues.
· Release of monthly living allowance in time.
· Release of work overtime.
· ERP Implementation.
Skill:
Availability of funds.
· Updated reports in time.
· Timely Submission
· Updated Employee Accounts.
· Updated Employee Accounts.
· Proper voucher entries.
· All report should be generated through ERP.
Job Description:
Follow up with departments on new projects/funds to be created.
· Establish new funds, process donation journal entries, investigate discrepancies and prepare detailed records and reports as required.
· Assist in the preparation and reconciliation of all monthly Accounting statements.
· Assist in creating, monitoring and updating Accounting related policies and procedures.
· Prepare Management Report.
· Plan and release supplier balance in time.
· Reconcile employee accounts both local & expat before dispatch of monthly living allowance.
· Train and Guide E1(a) & E1(b) ; and monitor their work on regular intervals.
· Follow standardised accounting policies of Group .

Safety Officer Jobs Opening Kenya.
Our client, a leader in the provision of industrial equipment in the region is looking to hire a Safety Officer reporting to the General Manager for the Kenya business.
The Safety Officer will be responsible for offering advisory services to management on all Health, Safety and Environment issues, advising on a range of specialist areas, e.g. fire regulations, hazardous substances, noise, safeguarding machinery and occupational diseases.
The primary duties for this role will include:
* Preparing and ensuring implementation of health and safety strategies and developing internal policy.
* Implementing the company Health and Safety Procedures and developing local work procedures to comply with legal obligations.
* Carrying out job safety analyses and considering how risks can be reduced or eliminated.
* Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented, and are working well and overseeing safety audits and keeping records of inspections’ findings and producing reports that suggest improvements.
* Ensuring that staff is inducted, as per the Safety Procedure on Induction and Training.
* Playing the role of secretary to the company safety committee.
* Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all environmental, health and safety legislation and any developments in our industry, and liaising with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance.
* Managing and organizing the safe disposal of hazardous substances at the work place.
* Maintaining a system for recording, reporting and investigating injuries, accidents and dangerous occurrences in company’s and in the field, providing annual statistical summaries to Management and drawing attention to significant trends and occurrences.
Required Qualities – The ideal candidate will be:

* A mature individual with high level of discretion and unquestionable integrity
* Enthusiastic and energetic
Required Skills – The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven ability to interpret and apply safety regulation
* Possess leadership skills
* Presentation skills
* Communication and interpersonal skills
* Highly organized, paying close attention to detail and effective time management skills
Qualifications
* Have a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science/Health and Safety
* Have professional certification in Occupational Safety and Health
The ideal candidate, aged between 30 and 40 years, with at least a 5 years general experience, of which 3 years would be in a similar position. The salary for this position is KShs 80,000 gross per month.
