TASK

Dans le cadre de la réalisation de fascicules regroupant des activités produits dans le monde rural au Cameroun, MIRA-CAM a besoin de l'appui des volontaires dans la conception et la rédactiong des articles. Le volontaire nous appuiera pour la rédaction des textes des documents. Il devra nous guider dans la conception de ce document, en fournissant des recommandations claires et concises et en nous guidant sur le choix des thèmes.

Le volontaire doit être disponible quatre semaines à compter du 20 août 2012.Il bénéficiera du soutien et des conseils d'un interlocuteur désigné par l'Association . Des photos et informations seront mis à sa disposition.Les échanges se feront par mail ou msg.

BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Dans le but de faire découvrir la culture du monde rural au monde extérieur, Mira-cam se propose de faire sortir de fascicules regroupant différents thèmes des activités de son environnement. Il y aura une fascicule détaillé et illustré sur chaque thème: la cuisine Camerounaise,les fruits et légumes, la faune et la flore, les produits agricoles du monde rural.Les sites touristiques, les traditions us et coutumes.

OBJECTIVE

l'objectif, est de faire participer les populations rurales dans les actions de développement les concernant, car ils vont nous produire les recettes détaillées, des mets locaux. Nous donner des informations sur les produits agricoles qu'on trouve chez eux, ainsi que les noms et particularités de la faune et flore.
Ces documents vendus en ligne à des prix favorables ,les recettes seront versées dans le compte de l'association. pour réaliser les objectifs de développement

Horus created Advans with several major international development finance institutions (EIB, KfW, FMO, AFD, IFC, CDC). Advans is a network of MFIs in developing and emerging countries (Cameroon, Ghana, DRC, Cambodia, Tanzania, Cote de Ivoire) offering financial services to MSMEs. The Advans network presently comprises six financial institutions and the objective is to create ten additional MFIs over the next five years in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. Advans provides these MFIs with financial resources whilst Horus provides them with technical assistance services.

About the Job:
Advans is looking for Rural Finance Project Manager for two MFIs in Cambodia and in Cameroon to lead the agricultural finance project for a two years assignment.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Carry out market studies, elaborate adequate procedures and toolsFinalize the prototypes of credit and savings products to test;Prepare training materials and carry out training sessions for both branch and head office staff;Monitor the rural loan portfolio and support the operations department in the project development;Conduct regular follow up and evaluation of the pilot phase;Initiate partnerships with insurers, value chains’ stakeholders and non financial services providers in order to develop risk mitigation strategies, as well as other relevant partnerships with other organizations to improve impact of the projectWork on the development of suitable rural delivery channels, possibly associated with mobile technology;Prepare the dissemination phase.

Qualifications:
At least a master degree in field of rural economics, banking and finance or related field;Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in regulated financial institutions (banks or MFIs) and/or in agricultural value chains;An experience in a developing country would be appreciated;Successful experience in developing new microfinance products and processes also Proven expertise in project management;Ability to work well in a team and work under pressure with tight deadlines;Ability to work in isolated areas;Training and communication skills;Ability to analyze risks and formalize procedures;Fluency in French and English;Good knowledge of the Cambodian/Cameroonian financial services and economy sector would be an advantage.

About the Organization:
Advans SA SICAR (Advans SA) is a venture capital investment company, created in August 2005 by Horus Development Finance together with several development financial institutions. Its mission is to build a network of financial institutions, also known as MFIs or microbanks, in developing and emerging countries. The institutions of the Advans network offer simple yet effective financial services such as loans and deposits to MSME which have limited or no access to formal banking services.

About the Job:
Advans SA is seeking two Rural Finance Project Managers to lead the agricultural finance project for 2 MFIs in Cambodia and in Cameroon. In order to diversify its clientele and extend its outreach in the rural areas, the client MFIs are looking to develop specific products, methods and delivery channels to adequately serve rural clients, and especially farmers. This is a 24 months engagement with incumbent for Cambodia will be based in Phnom Penh and one for Cameroon in Bafoussam.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Carry out market studies;Elaborate adequate procedures and tools;Finalize the prototypes of credit and savings products to test;Prepare training materials and carry out training sessions for both branch and head office staff;Monitor the rural loan portfolio and support the Operations department in the project development;Conduct regular follow up and evaluation of the pilot phase;Initiate partnerships with insurers, value chains’ stakeholders and non financial services providers in order to develop risk mitigation strategies, as well as other relevant partnerships with other organizations to improve impact of the project;Work on the development of suitable rural delivery channels, possibly associated woith Mobile technology;Prepare the dissemination phase.

Qualifications:
