TASK

Les volontaires feront des recherches électroniques pour capitaliser les informations scientifiques et techniques sur les forêts modèles et rédigeront une fiche technique sur les forêts modèles. Il s'agit davantage de fournir une description des processus de mise en place et d'exploitation des forêts modeles en adaptant la méthodologie à la situation des communautés rurales.

Un aperçu des processus réalisables en milieu paysan et de ses possibilités en tant qu'outil de développement seront accessibles en ligne. Ce travail sera fait en 2 semaine.

Les spécificités des zones rurales rendent les mécanismes modernes non viables. Plusieurs informations existent à travers les études scientifiques. La grande partie étant présentée dans les revues et les articles scientifiques. Les informations à l'échelle paysanne sont parfois difficiles à trouver. Il apparaît clair que la capitalisation des expériences de terrain occupe une place de choix dans le programme d'ISF de renforcement des capacités humaines.

Developing a Facebook Page for the GMM Orphan Sponsorship

Goodness and Mercy Missions

TASK

Goodness and Mercy Missions identifies and sponsors several orphan children in Cameroon. We connect them also to sponsors around the world. We want volunteers who will help develop a facebook page so we can better expose the program and attract more sponsorship. Volunteers will work on a page where information and progress of the work will be placed.

Volunteers will work from April to July 2012. They will work with us as we provide details of the program. They can work as a team or individually. Communication will be largely through email and sometimes by chat.

Nous recherchons des universitaires et agronomes qualifiés dans la conception pédagogique d'une université agropastorale pour définir les curricula et les Unités de valeur pour une formation moderne en agriculture et élevage ( production, transformation et commercialisation) pour le développement afin d'aider les jeunes à obtenir des formations qualifiantes et diplômantes leur permettant de s'auto-employer grâce à l'agriculture et à l'élevage.

Le travail des volontaires sera coordonné par ISF dans une démarche d'apprentissage mutuel.

UNV State of World's Volunteerism Report

TASK

You will support the preparation of the Secretary General's report on the follow-up to the implementation of the International Year of Volunteers (IYV) in 2001. You will collect information based on specific guidelines about initiatives, events and developments with regard to policy, legislation, research and activities related to volunteerism in Latin America since 2008. You will feed this information into a web-based reporting system for further analysis by UNV HQ.

We expect a minimum commitment of 4-6 weeks. UNV will share research guidelines with the volunteer and will be in direct email contact throughout the duration of the assignment. Depending on qualifications/expertise/language skills of volunteers, they will be assigned to different countries and/or different areas of research.

The United Nations General Assembly proclaimed 2001 the International Year of Volunteers (IYV) and designated UNV as the focal point for the Year and its follow-up.

Having just marked the tenth anniversary of the International Year of Volunteers, UNV is now preparing the UN Secretary-General's latest report on volunteering. This report for the UN General Assembly will focus on what's happened in the volunteering world over the last decade, in particular since 2008.

OBJECTIVE

You will help UNV to report on developments in the volunteer sector and to highlight volunteer initiatives of the past 4 years in Latin America (Spanish-speaking countries). This will allow UNV to assess the impact of the various developments, to promote them further and to strengthen the national network for volunteerism, advance global recognition of the contribution of volunteerism to society and to achieving peace and development.
