Our client is a major player in the lubricants sector.
They are currently looking for a Business Development Manager for West and Central Africa, who will drive the company's business in the lubricants sector.

L'une de ses divisions sp?cialis?e dans les lubrifiants industriels recherche un(e) Business Development Manager* pour couvrir l'Afrique centrale et occidentale.

As the only key representative of the company in West and Central Africa, you are in charge of developing the sales and marketing strategies in your sales territory. Directly reporting to the Business Unit Manager Africa based in Europe, your duties include:

- Study the possibilities of new distribution agreements : provide the company with an analysis of new distributors positioning in the local market, their staff and material resources,
- Identify, based on the range of Products and on their prices, which of the Products are suitable for the potential Distributors' needs,
- Assist the existing distributors with:
* Organizing and improving the marketing strategy as well as the price, image and product policies and, in particular, optimizing the positioning of the Products in Central and West Africa
* Organizing and improving their distribution network
* Organizing and improving the technical assistance provided by the distributors to their customers
* Implementing sales development techniques developed by the group, with regards to the analysis of the activity, market and competition, and the promotion of the Products
- Regularly transmit to the Distributors the results of the analyses and market researches, inform them of the competitors' prices, products and sales practices and provide their sales' force with necessary additional training.

Vous serez notamment en charge :
- d'identifier de nouveaux r?seaux de distributeurs et segments de march? cl?s pour la promotion des produits du groupe,
- de s?lectionner et g?rer les r?seaux de revendeurs existants et ? venir,
- d'identifier de nouvelles opportunit?s de d?veloppement dans la r?gion,
- de pr?parer le budget des op?rations ? moyen et long terme, de d?finir le plan d'action et de superviser son ex?cution,
- d'accompagner les distributeurs par la d?finition de plans marketing et de strat?gie de vente, d'organiser des programmes de formation,
- de communiquer tous types d'?tudes, d'analyses ou de recommandations ? la B.U Afrique.

This is a true entrepreneur position, as you will be the first employee of this group in this Area. For this versatile role, the ideal candidate will have a university degree and a minimum of 5 years experience in marketing and commercial functions completed by a B to B and the
B to C experience.
You have a sound and proven commercial experience in West or/and central Africa. You have an entrepreneur mindset and proven sales track records.
Customer orientated, with excellent interpersonal skills, you have the ability to work on your own initiative.
You have very good skills in English and French.

TASK

This is a simple task of researching for volunteer recruiting organization around the world, who are interested in creating a partnership with an African base environmental conservation NGO. The volunteer will need to create a data base of information concerning the organizations they found. There are no limits in the number of organization needed. The volunteer is not limited to internet search, he/she could research using other tools like newspapers, universities etc.

This position runs for 1 month and expires in August. The volunteer will be working for a maximum of 1 hour per day. We will be providing the volunteer will the necessary data and mentorship needed in searching for appropriate partners. We expect to partner with some international volunteer recruiting organization. The volunteer will be in collaboration with our volunteer coordinator and she will be available online 4 hours per day to address the volunteers challenges.

LE RÔLE DU COOPÉRANT-VOLONTAIRE

• Regarder les programmes de financement offerts par RAFM et accompagner des promoteurs dans

les démarches de création d'entreprises au niveau des groupes et populations locales.

• Appuyer les populations à accéder aux services des institutions de micro-finance

COMPÉTENCES ET QUALIFICATIONS

Essentielles

• Diplôme universitaire en administration, économie, gestion ou autre domaine pertinent - avec un

accent sur le développement économique ou la création d'entreprises

• Minimum 02 ans d'expérience expérience dans l'élaboration et mise en Œuvre des plans de

développement et mise en Œuvre des stratégies de développement économique local

• Connaissance du processus de développement de chaines de valeur et de sa mise en Œuvre

• Démontrer une bonne expérience dans la gestion de projet, l'appui aux entreprises, la création

d'entreprise ou domaine connexe

Souhaitables

ABOUT THE PARTNER ORGANIZATION

Cuso is recruiting for two Local Economic Development volunteer placements. The Dja and Mpomo

Model Forest (known by its French acronym FOMOD) and the Campo Ma'an Model Forest (CAMAMF)

are humid tropical forests situated in the French-speaking Eastern and Southern Prefectures of

Cameroon. Cuso International is a partner in the Model Forest project Promotion of Good Governance for

the Sustainable Management of Forest Resources in Cameroon, developed jointly with the African

Network of Model Forests (ANMF) and VSO Cameroon, with participation from community associations

such as the Platforms of Baka and Bagyeli Pygmies, The Platform of Rural Women and the Platform of

Local NGOs.

THE VOLUNTEER'S ROLE

• Review funding opportunities offered by the ANMF and support community leaders in fostering

enterprise development among local groups and populations

• Assist local populations in developing business plans

• Support the development of value chains around local products

• Assist local community members in accessing services from local micro-finance institutions

• Support the implementation of a local financing strategy by the primacy Model Forest stakeholders

(industry, communities, government services, etc.) and the creation of partnerships with local

economic stakeholders.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential requirements

• University degree in administration, economics, management or a related field, with a focus on

economic development or entrepreneurship

• At least 2 years' experience in the design and implementation of business plans

• Knowledge of the process of developing and working with value chains

• Experience in project management, supporting enterprises, business creation or related fields

Desirable

• Ability to work as part of a team and willingness to work in a participative manner, while also taking

a leadership role as necessary

• Knowledge of human rights and other humanitarian standards with emphasis on gender and

women's rights

• Understanding of tropical forest environments

TRAINING AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT

Our training and support package covers the costs of being an overseas volunteer, allowing you to enjoy a modest but healthy lifestyle while you volunteer abroad. This includes:

• Attendance at a Cuso International assessment day (candidates must cover the first $150 of the

most cost-effective travel expenses and accommodation costs)

• Travel and accommodation costs associated with pre-departure training

• Return airfare and visa/permit (this includes a return flight in the case of a family emergency)

• Coverage for required vaccinations, medications and comprehensive health insurance

• Accommodation while overseas

• A modest living allowance, which varies depending on the country where you are placed

• Quarterly payments to support you in your placement
