 Last date of Submission : 12 Nov 2010 Sector : Environment and Climate Change Compensation : As Per WWF Guidelines. Skill Set : Monitoring and Evaluation , Programme Management Nature of Job : Fixed term Contract The Leader will provide dynamic leadership in the development and implementation of this ambitious and high profile conservation initiative which will be implemented in the Congo Basin region over the next 10-15 years.  

Qualifications:

An advanced degree or equivalent work experience in environmental, and/or relevant social, natural or political sciences;
Technical proficiency in the field of conservation, natural-resource management or international development;
8-10 years professional international experience in a senior leadership role developing and leading the implementation of large, multi-disciplinary programmes or organisations;
Good knowledge of and experience in the Africa region;
Demonstrated success in managing multi-disciplinary teams and multiple donor budgets;
Excellent leadership,, organizational, interpersonal and teambuilding skills;
Proven experience in effectively leading large complex programmes and associated budgets, with strong programme management skills;
Proficiency in French and English.
